Happy Thanksgiving
I am sitting here watching the Cardinals get run over by Philadelphia.
Today was a good day. My wife slaved over the stove since yesterday for it to all end in less than one hour. But it was worth it. We don’t have much family get together but enough to make it fun. I went to the Dr today for my post op checkup. The incisions are healing nicely. I was weighed in today and to my amazement I have now lost a total of 19 lbs. I have been improving the last couple of days. The wounds are healing pretty nice. I still have some pain where they inserted the camera and light to have a look around the inside. After Surgery
It has been one week since surgery. OMG, it was painful. Not really painful to die for, but painful enough to take the Hydrocodone they gave me. Right now I am at a manageable point in my pain. I have an unfortable feeling in my stomach though. I guess they pump you up full of CO2 gas to separate all of the organs so that the DR could have an easy way to look around. Today is the day I get my surgery. They do believe it is a blocked duodenum. They gave me some strong laxatives and they didn’t really do much. They will find out soon enough how bad it is or even if it is external or internal. If it is external, twisted intestine, then that is a good quick but delicate fix that will also require a strict diet. I am hoping that the liver biopsy will turn out...
